We know that when it comes to jewelry, you have a lot of options to choose from. It would be our pleasure to share what sets us apart from the crowd.
We get it. Nearly everything out there seems to be gold-plated these days. But at Petit Anjou, we continue to work in vermeil--a form of jewelry that dates back to the 19th century--because of its superior quality and excellence. Learn more about why you should consider vermeil here.
You may be asking, "If vermeil is so great, why don't I see it around more often?" The reality of it comes down to the manufacturing cost. Vermeil pieces cost significantly more to make than gold-plated pieces for two reasons:
(1) Gold-plated jewelry uses an inexpensive base metal such as brass beneath the gold. Vermeil jewelry, on the other hand, uses sterling silver, which is a precious metal and thus costs more to use.
(2) The layer of gold is up to 14 times thicker on a vermeil piece than it is on a traditional gold-plated piece.
Vermeil pieces use precious metals only--and a lot more of them--than their gold-plated counterparts. Unfortunately, many sellers will shy away from working in vermeil because this typically translates to higher manufacturing costs and lower margins.
At Petit Anjou, we firmly believe in quality over quantity and in timeless pieces over quick trends. Jewelry is a wonderful luxury. So don't settle for anything less.
For the most accurate sizing, we recommend visiting your local jeweler to get your finger sized. Alternatively, you may refer to our Size Guide.

We do not have the bandwidth to accommodate bespoke designs at this time. However, pieces can be made in certain different metals (e.g., a sterling silver design may be requested in 14k gold). Our Clarté bracelets can also be adjusted to fit children's wrist sizes. If you have a request along these lines, please feel free to reach out to us at info@petitanjou.com.

Information & Care
All of Petit Anjou's pieces are handcrafted using only the highest quality 925 sterling silver, 14k gold, 18k gold, or 14k gold-filled metals. Our vermeil pieces are crafted using recycled sterling silver and are plated with at least 2.5 microns of 14k or 18k gold.
Good question! Please refer to our information page on Vermeil Jewelry.
Every piece of Petit Anjou jewelry is carefully handcrafted using the finest precious metals and gemstones. These materials are delicate and it is recommended that you handle them with care. We advise against exposing your gold vermeil pieces to harsh chemicals and recommend simply buffing them with a soft microfiber cloth. Sterling silver pieces will naturally tarnish over time, and any such tarnish may be removed with a silver polishing cloth. When not being worn, it is important to keep your jewelry stored in a jewelry or other storage box to avoid excessive exposure to air so as to help prevent tarnishing.
Please take a look at our Product Care page for additional tips.
Petit Anjou offers complimentary re-stringing of all La Mer pearl necklaces and bracelets as well as all Clarté crystal gemstone bracelets. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
Any other repair inquiries may be analyzed on a case-by-case basis by contacting us at info@petitanjou.com. If a repair can be performed, the customer will be responsible for the repair and shipping costs. Repairs may take 4-5 weeks depending on the nature of the repair.
